Peat features heavily in our distilling history - records show that The Glenturret dug peat from the mosses at our water source for whisky production in the early 1800's. The Glenturret 10 Years Old Peat Smoked celebrates the varying sources of peat now procured for our smoky whiskies. The smoke flavours are constantly evolving and changing through time. Our peated spirit style is matured in both first-fill and second-fill European and American oak casks. The resulting whisky forms a complex single malt that commands a higher strength. Dark smoke from a newly lit fire, sweet citrus and vanilla. Salted caramel leads into smoky wood spices which drift into the distance.
